Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary

263156 Range Road 53, Cochrane AB

Welcome to the Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is open to the public every Thursday through Monday from 10am until 5pm. They are closed every Tuesday and Wednesday.  They have guidelines and protocols in place to ensure everyone’s safety while we continue to adjust to our new normal.  You can find more details about visiting the Sanctuary (rules any age restrictions) here! Please keep in mind due to the sensitive nature of the wolfdogs, the minimum age requirement for children to visit is 6 years old.

Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary offers a variety of tours to the public.  These include an Interactive Tour, Intro Tour, and a new General Admission option! The purpose of the tours is to educate the public on wolfdogs and raise awareness regarding wolf conservation. All proceeds from the tours directly fund the sanctuary and its continued rescue efforts.

You can support the Wolfdogs through our online store where you can purchase our merchandise and tour passes.

Behind the Scenes - Yamnuska Insider - Video Series - the team that is behind Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary.

The Wolfdog Sanctuary is a non-profit organization who promotes responsible wolfdog ownership by providing a variety of educational programs. We discuss the challenges of wolfdog ownership and outline what a suitable home looks like. We also touch on the importance of preserving wolves in the wild! On top of the educational programs, the Sanctuary also oversees the rescue and safe sanctuary for wolfdogs that have been neglected, abandoned, or otherwise displaced.
